If We Are Not In Gods Love Than We Are Under His Wrath

New Living Translation John:15:10
When you obey my commandments, you remain in my love, just as I obey my Father’s commandments and remain in his love.

This verse got my attention on how Jesus abide in the Fathers Love, and we must do the same.By simply obeying His commandments.

So that means when we are disobedient to Christ Jesus, we separate ourselves from Gods love. When we don’t obey His commandments we don’t abide in God’s love. Disobedience to Jesus Christ and the word of God will put us right under God’s wrath. It would be our own fault.

Look at Israel as an example how much they disobeyed God the wrath of God was upon them but God in His infinite mercy did not destroy them all.

The scary part is this. God reminded me this verse as I am writing this.

John 3:36 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)
36 And he who believes in (has faith in, clings to, relies on) the Son has (now possesses) eternal life. But whoever disobeys (is unbelieving toward, refuses to trust in, disregards, is not subject to) the Son will never see (experience) life, but [instead] the wrath of God abides on him. [God’s displeasure remains on him; His indignation hangs over him continually.]

So if we don’t obey God’s commandments, we won’t abide in His love. If we don’t abide in His love than we abide under His wrath for our disobedience.

This is something very serious here. Yes God loves us. Yes He is merciful. Yes He is forgiving. But He also is a consuming fire.

BUT He always leaves room for repentance and helps us!

How do we do that if we have sinned and disobeyed as Christians. Easy the bible says to go boldly before the throne of grace to find mercy and help before the Lord. So when we humble ourselves before Gods throne of grace He shows mercy.

Hebrews 4:15-16 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)
15 For we do not have a High Priest Who is unable to understand and sympathize and have a shared feeling with our weaknesses and infirmities and liability to the assaults of temptation, but One Who has been tempted in every respect as we are, yet without sinning.

16 Let us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of grace (the throne of God’s unmerited favor to us sinners), that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find grace to help in good time for every need [appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when we need it].

Also remember this. If you or I sowed mercy and where merciful to people. God will show you or me mercy. Because what a man sows He will surely reap. God sees what we have or haven’t done to others.

Matthew 5:7
Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.

So be encouraged if you have sinned, know you can always always always repent before His throne of grace and find mercy and help by God. God will remember you when you have fallen and disobeyed. He will remember you and the times you sowed mercy to others.

Lets try our best beloved to stay in Gods love by obeying His commandments.
